InterAction of Bath's safety cases: Astute Class submarine weapons handling |
| The Astute submarine is a new class of nuclear-powered submarine which will gradually replace the Swiftsure and Trafalgar class boats in the Royal Navy fleet.
InterAction of Bath was involved in Stage 3 of the Design Safety Justification for the weapon handling system for the Astute. This work involved analysing the system for possible hazards, and for each hazard identified, establishing its risk class and constructing a mitigation case. |
